Pointics Integration with Bit Flows – Automate Workflows When Points Are Earned

Pointics Integrations: Pointics is a WordPress loyalty and rewards plugin that lets customers earn points through supported activities and redeem them for rewards. Bit Flows lets the rest of your tools react to that activity the moment it happens, so loyalty data never sits locked inside one plugin.

With Bit Flows, you can connect Pointics with popular action platforms such as Google Sheet, HubSpot, WooCommerce, Trello, Google Drive, and Slack, along with many more. For example, whenever a member earns points, Bit Flows can automatically add a row to your loyalty spreadsheet, create or update that customer’s CRM contact, and post a notification to your team’s channel.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to integrate Bit Flows with Pointics, where Pointics acts as the trigger. Once the integration is complete, your flow will run automatically whenever points land on a member’s ledger, whatever caused them.

Step 01: Create a New Integration

First, go to your Bit Flows Dashboard, click on Flows, and then either create a new flow or open an existing one.

After creating or opening an existing flow, you’ll be taken to the Flow Builder screen.

Step 02: Select Pointics as Trigger

In the Flow Builder, you’ll see a section called Trigger. Under that, click on “Select an App.” A list of trigger apps will appear.

From the list of trigger apps, select Pointics. Bit Flows will then display the available Pointics trigger events.

Step 03: Select Trigger Event

Now, select your preferred trigger event. For example: “Points Earn/Poin Adjusted”.

This event fires whenever points land on a member’s ledger, whatever caused them, so a single flow covers points earned from an order, from a manual credit, and from any other earning rule you have set up in Pointics.

Step 04: Configure Pointics Trigger

Pointics runs on the same site as Bit Flows, so there is nothing to connect and no API key to paste. Once you select the event, Bit Flows listens to Pointics directly and the trigger is ready to use.

You’ll see a Listen Hook panel confirming which Pointics event this flow is watching. Leave it as it is and move on to capturing a sample response.

Step 05: Capture the Trigger Response

The next step is to capture the response, so Bit Flows knows what Pointics sends and you can map those values into your actions. Click the “Capture Response” button, then go and award points to a member in Pointics – place a qualifying order, or open the customer in the Pointics dashboard and credit their balance manually.

Once the points are awarded, return to the integration page. You’ll see the ledger entry captured, including the member, how many points were awarded, the entry type and source, the description, and the member’s updated balance – all ready to use in the next step of your flow.
