In this guide, you’ll learn how to integrate Bit Form with Pointics, where Bit Form acts as the trigger and Pointics is the action. Once the integration is complete, Bit Flows will automatically credit or debit a member’s loyalty points every time someone submits your form.

Step 01: Create a New Integration

First, open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, first click the plus (+) icon to add a trigger as you wish. In this setup, Bit Form serves as the trigger and Pointics as the action.

Step 02: Select Bit Form as the Trigger

From the trigger app list, search for Bit Form and select it. Then choose the exact form you want to use for this automation. After selecting the form, capture or fetch the sample form data. This sample data is important because Bit Flows will use it later when you map Bit Form fields with Pointics fields.

Just make sure the Pointics plugin is installed and activated on your site. If it is inactive, the action will report that Pointics is not available when the flow runs.

Step 05: Configure Adjust Points Action

Now configure the fields for the Adjust Points action.

Start with Member. This is the person whose balance is adjusted, and it is required. Pick a member from the dropdown to always award the same person, or map a field from your Bit Form submission so the flow adjusts whoever filled in the form.

Next, enter the Points value, which is also required. Use a positive number to credit the member, for example 100 to reward a completed form. Use a negative number to debit them, for example -50 to deduct points. You can type a fixed amount or map a form field to make the award dynamic.

The Description field is optional and is shown to the member as the label on their points history row. Something clear like “Survey completed” helps customers recognise where their points came from.

Source is optional too. It is recorded on the ledger row so you can tell later where an adjustment came from, and it defaults to admin when you leave it empty.

Finally, the optional Idempotency Key protects you against duplicates. Replaying the same key for the same member never credits the points twice, which is useful if a form can be resubmitted or a flow is retried. Map something unique from the submission, such as the entry ID.

Step 06: Test the Action

Configure every field above, then click Test Run to try the action immediately with the current values.

Step 07: Test the Full Flow

You also have the option to test the full flow. You can either click “Listen Response” and then run the trigger event (e.g., submit the form), or use existing data to test the integration and make sure everything works correctly.

After completing all the steps, click the “Logs” icon at the top-right corner of the Flow Builder to view your integration logs. Logs help you verify if the trigger and action worked correctly and make it easier to spot and fix any issues.
