GetResponse Integrations: Email marketing and beyond · Easier email marketing & automation that converts contacts into customers · One platform to create, market, and turn your knowledge into revenue.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to integrate Bit Form with GetResponse, where Bit Form acts as the trigger and GetResponse is the action. Once the integration is complete, a new subscriber will be automatically added to your GetResponse list whenever someone submits your form.

This step-by-step, beginner-friendly tutorial is designed to make the setup process smooth and easy—enabling you to grow your email list, boost engagement, and manage contacts efficiently right from your WordPress site.

Authorization of GetResponse Integrations as Action

To set GetResponse as an action in Bit Flows, first open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, click the plus (+) icon to add an action. From the list of available apps, search for and select GetResponse.

After selecting your preferred action, the next step is to choose an event. For example, in this case, we’ve selected the “Create Contact” event.

  • Create Contact

After selecting the action event, a new popup will appear. Here, you need to connect your GetResponse account. If you’ve already connected GetResponse before and want to use the same account, simply select it from the “Select Connection” dropdown. If not, click on “Add Connection” to create a new one.

If you’ve already created a connection earlier and want to use it with the same account, simply select it from the “Select Connection” dropdown. This saves time and avoids creating duplicate connections.

When you click the Add Connection button, you’ll be prompted to enter a name for your connection and supply your API Key as value.

To set up GetResponse integrations with Bit Flows, you’ll need GetResponse API Key. Follow these steps to get it.

  • Navigate to your GetResponse account.
  • Select “Tools” from the top-left corner, then choose “Integrations and API,” followed by “API.”
  • Click on “Generate API Key.
  • Provide a name for your key, then click “Generate.”
  • Your API Key will be generated and displayed.
  • Copy your API Key and paste it into the API Token field within Bit Flows.

Once you have successfully entered your GetResponse API Key, click “Connect” button to proceed.

List: Choose the list you want from the drop-down.

Field Mapping: Here, you’ll see a “Map Fields” section where you need to map your form fields to the matching fields in GetResponse. The “Email” field is required by GetResponse, so make sure to map your form’s Email field to it. You can also click the “Add Item” button to map additional fields. Additionally, you can enhance your request logic using FlowMathString, and System functions.

Override Existing: Update the existing information with the latest responses.

Once you’ve finished these settings, you can either click the “Test Run” button to check if the integration is working correctly or simply close the popup to complete the setup.

When you click the Test Run button, the output will be displayed just above it. However, please note that Test Run results are not recorded in the logs.

You also have the option to test the full flow. You can either click “Listen Response” and then run the trigger event (e.g., submit the form), or use existing data to test the integration and make sure everything works correctly.

After completing all the steps, click the “Logs” icon at the top-right corner of the Flow Builder to view your integration logs. Logs help you verify if the trigger and action worked correctly and make it easier to spot and fix any issues.

That’s it! You’ve successfully set up an automation in Bit Flows to connect Bit Form with GetResponse. Now, each time someone submits your form, a new contact will be automatically added to your GetResponse list.

This integration makes it easy to grow your subscriber base, automate campaigns, and manage your email marketing—right from your WordPress site. For additional guidance or to explore more integration options, don’t forget to check out our detailed User Guide.
