Connect Uncanny Automator with Bit Flows – Link Uncanny Automator Recipes

Uncanny Automator Integration: Uncanny Automator is a no-code automation and integration plugin for WordPress that helps you build smart workflows between plugins and apps.

Bit Flows is a WordPress automation plugin that allows you to connect different tools and automate tasks without any coding. It helps businesses build powerful workflow automation by connecting apps and moving data between them automatically.

Step 1: Create a New Integration

First, open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, first click the plus (+) icon to add a trigger as your wish. In this setup, Bit Form serves as the trigger and Uncanny Automator as the action.

Step 2: Select Bit Form as the Trigger

From the trigger app list, search for Bit Form and select it. Then choose the exact form you want to use for this automation. Make sure this is the same form your visitors will actually submit. This is important because Bit Flows will capture data from that selected form only.

Step 3: Add Uncanny Automator as the Action

After setting the trigger, click the plus icon again to add an action. Search for Uncanny Automator from the app list and select it.

After selecting Uncanny Automator as an action, the next step is to choose an event. There is only one event available called “Make a Request.” So, we’ve selected it.

Step 4: Start the Uncanny Automator Connection

• Click the Add Connection button to authorize the connection between Bit Flows and Uncanny Automator.
• In the pop-up window, select the Bearer Token option and provide a connection name (you can name it anything you like).
• You also need to enter your Uncanny Automator API Token.

To get an Uncanny API Token, go to your Uncanny Dashboard → Settings → API tabs → Generate API Token. Copy the generated API token and paste it into the Bit Flows Token option. Click Connect to establish the connection.

Step 5: Authorize the Uncanny Automator Webhook

• Create New Recipe in Uncanny Automator: Go to your Uncanny Dashboard and click to add a new recipe. Choose Everyone as the recipe type.
• Webhook Setup: Select Webhook as the trigger and click on Receive Data from a Webhook.
• Copy Webhook URL: Copy the generated URL and go back to Bit Flows.
• Configure Request: In Bit Flows, paste the copied URL into the Request URL field, set the Method to POST, and choose Form-data as the Content Type.

Step 6: Map Bit Form Fields to Uncanny Fields

Now, Map the Bit Form fields you want to send through the Uncanny webhook. For example, send name, email, phone, and message. Then, inside Uncanny Automator, use those webhook fields in your selected action, such as Google Sheets.

Once you’ve finished these settings, you can either click the “Test Run” button to check if the integration is working correctly or simply close the pop-up to complete the setup.

To add an Action App in Uncanny Automator, follow these steps:

• Click on Add action
• Select your preferred app. In this case, we choose Google Sheets.
• Connect with the chosen app. 
• Now proceed to map your fields. Click on the star icon and select Receive Data from a Webhook.
• After mapping, click on the Save button.
• Now active the recipe.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up Uncanny as your action app with Bit Flows.

Step 7: Test the Full Flow with a Form Submission

Now that your trigger and actions are set up, you can test the flow to verify if the integration is functioning as expected. To do this, click Test Flow Once and then complete the trigger event (In this case, submitting the Bit Form).

Step 8: Check the Integration Log

After testing the flow, open the Logs section by clicking the logs icon in the top right corner of the flow screen. Here, you can verify whether the trigger and action were successful. If everything is set up correctly, you should see a SUCCESS status in the log.

If the log status shows Success, Bit Flows has sent the Bit Form submission data to the Uncanny Automator webhook correctly. Now, the Uncanny recipe can use that data in its next action, such as adding a row to Google Sheets or sending the data to another connected app.

You can click Details in the Bit Flows log to review the request data, mapped fields, and webhook response.
