Google Meet Integration with WordPress Using Bit Flows

Google Meet Integration: Google Meet is a secure and reliable video conferencing solution that allows individuals and teams to connect effortlessly through high-quality video calls, screen sharing, and real-time collaboration from anywhere in the world.

Bit Flows is a WordPress automation plugin that lets you connect different tools and automate tasks without coding. It helps businesses build powerful workflow automation by connecting apps and moving data between them automatically.

In your WordPress website, you can easily integrate Google Meet with Bit Flows, where Bit Form is the trigger and Google Meet is the action. After setup, Bit Flows will create a Google Calendar event with a Google Meet link whenever someone submits the selected Bit Form.

Step 01: Create a new Integration

First, open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, first click the plus (+) icon to add a trigger as you wish. In this example, we choose Bit Form as a trigger and Google Meet as the action.

Step 02: Select Bit Form as the trigger

From the trigger app list, search for Bit Form and select it. Then choose the exact form you want to use for this automation. Make sure this is the same form your visitors will actually submit.

After selecting the form, capture or fetch the sample form data. This sample data is important because Bit Flows will use it later when you map Bit Form fields with Google Meet fields, such as name, email, or other contact details. Here is a simple guide to connect Bit Form as a trigger.

Step 03: Add Google Meet as the action

After setting the trigger, click the plus icon again to add an action. Search for Google Meet from the app list and select it.

After selecting Google Meet as an action, the next step is to choose an event. In this case, there is only one event available called “Create Meeting.” So, we’ve selected the event.

Step 04: Authorize the Google Meet Integration

• Click the Add Connection button to authorize the connection between Bit Flows and Google Meet.
• In the pop-up window, provide a connection name (you can name it anything you like).
• Enter your Client ID and Client Secret. (Follow the Steps below)

Step 05: Get Google Client ID and Client Secret

To get your Google Client ID and Client Secret, start by signing in to the Google Cloud Console with your Google account. If you don’t have a project, create a new one by clicking “Create Project.” If you already have a project, simply select it.

Next, navigate to APIs & Services, search for the Google Drive API and Google Calendar API, and enable them. After that, go to the OAuth Consent Screen, provide your app details like name and email, and click Publish App. Then, head to Credentials, click on Create Credentials, and choose OAuth Client ID.

Select Web Application, give it a name, and add the Authorized JavaScript Origins and Redirect URLs from your Bit Flows integration page. Once done, click Create.

Next, open your new client, go to the Scopes section, and add permissions (drive, drive.file, spreadsheets, userinfo.profile, and userinfo.email). Save the changes.

Finally, in the Credentials section, click the download icon next to your client, copy the Client ID and Client Secret, and paste them into your Bit Flows integration page. Now your connection is set up!

Step 06: Map Bit Form Fields to Google Meet Fields

After authorization, Select Your Google Calendar mail. Now you will map the fields from Bit Form to Google Meet. So, that user data goes to your calendar to book the meeting.

Once you’ve finished these settings, you can either click the “Test Run” button to check if the integration is working correctly or simply close the pop-up to complete the setup.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up Google Meet as your action with Bit Flows.

Step 07: Test the Full Flow with a Form Submission

After setting up the trigger and actions, you can test your flow to verify if the integration is working correctly. To do this, simply click on Test Flow Once. Then complete the trigger event, which in this case is Bit Form Submit.

Test your automation regularly and make adjustments as needed to ensure your Integration runs smoothly.

Step 08: Check the Integration Log

After the test, open the Logs section from the top right corner of the flow screen. There, you can verify whether the Bit Form trigger worked and whether the Google Meet action created the meeting successfully.

If the log status shows Success, the Google Meet action is working correctly. Now, whenever someone submits the selected Bit Form, Bit Flows will use the mapped data to create a meeting in the selected Google Calendar with a Google Meet link.

You can click Details in the Bit Flows log to review the submitted data, mapped fields, and Google response.
