Mailchimp Forms Integration: With the Mailchimp Forms integration via Bit Flows, your website form submissions are automatically synced to Google Sheets or any other CRM. You no longer need to copy data manually. Now you can easily manage subscribers automatically and power your email campaigns with zero hassle.

What’s the Difference Between Mailchimp and Mailchimp Forms?

Mailchimp is the complete email marketing platform. It helps you store your subscriber list, create and send email campaigns, design newsletters, set up email marketing automations, and analyze your results.

Mailchimp Forms, on the other hand, are the specific tools inside Mailchimp used to collect new subscribers. These include pop-up forms, embedded forms, hosted signup pages, and other signup options that capture email addresses and additional information from your website visitors.

Bit Flows is a WordPress automation plugin that allows you to connect different tools and automate tasks without any coding. It helps businesses build powerful workflow automation by connecting apps and moving data between them automatically. It supports integrations with more than 345+ popular apps, including Zoho CRM, Google Sheets, WooCommerce, Airtable, Trello, Dropbox, Zoom, HubSpot, Zoho Desk, and many others.

Instead of manually moving data, for example, sending form entries to a CRM or updating spreadsheets, Bit Flows processes these tasks automatically in the background. With this setup, every time someone submits your Mailchimp Form, their information is automatically sent to your connected apps. This approach helps reduce repetitive work, saves time, and keeps your workflows running smoothly. Easy setup. Instant sync. Stress-free Forms data automation.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use Mailchimp Form as the trigger to start an automation. The workflow will be activated whenever a user submits the form, making the form submission the event that initiates the automation process.

Setup Mailchimp Forms Integrations

First, go to your Bit Flows Dashboard, click on Flows, and then either create a new flow or open an existing one.

Now, select your preferred trigger event. In this case, there is only one event available, called “On Form Submit“. So, we have selected it.

After selecting your event, you’ll be asked to choose a Webhook. To connect the form, configure the Mailchimp Forms webhook integration using the webhook URL generated in Bit Flows.

When you click the “Add Webhook” button, you’ll be prompted to enter a Webhook Name for your webhook. Simply type in the name and click “Save”.

Another pop-up will then appear showing the Webhook URL and a Listen Response button. Now, copy the Webhook URL from Bit Flows, then head over to the Mailchimp Forms dashboard and go to form settings, and set the webhook URL there to complete the Mailchimp Form webhook integration.

After selecting your form, the next step is to capture the response. To do this, click on the “Listen Response” button, then go and submit the form you selected.

Set Action

After finishing these steps, close the pop-up and click the plus (+) icon to add an Action. Click on “Set Action” to choose where you want to send the On Form Submit data. In this case, we select Google Sheets as an action.

If you select Google Sheets as the action, as we did, you will see the available events that can be performed. The available events are “Add Row” and“Append or Update”. In this case, we selected the “Add Row” event. This means that whenever the trigger event runs, a row of your data will be added to Google Sheets.

Google Sheet Authorization

It only takes a few simple processes. After choosing the “Add Row” event, you will be prompted to select a connection. Click on the “Add connection” button to create a new connection. You will be required to enter your Client ID and ClientSecret from your Google Console app. Additionally, you can set a connection name to identify it for future use.

Don’t worry, once you connect your Google account, you won’t need to do it again. Next time, you can easily select the connection from the drop-down list.

Remember, for the same Google account, you won’t need to connect again. Next time, simply select the connection from the drop-down list. If you are unsure how to obtain these credentials, then follow the Google Sheets integrations guide.

Map Fields

After completing authorization, you’ll find a Field Mapping feature. Here, you can link your form’s fields to the appropriate fields in the Google sheet. Once you’ve finished these settings, you can either click the “Test Run” button to check if the integration is working correctly or simply close the pop-up to complete the setup.

After setting up the trigger and actions, you can test your flow to verify if the integration is working correctly. To do this, simply click on Test Flow Once. Then complete the trigger event, which in this case is Mailchimp Form Submit.

Integration Log

After completing all the steps, click the “Logs” icon at the top-right corner of the Flow Builder to view your integration logs. Logs help you verify if the trigger and action worked correctly and make it easier to spot and fix any issues.
