MailerCloud Integration with Bit Flows – Add Contacts from Forms, WooCommerce, and more

Estimated reading: 4 minutes 53 views

MailerCloud Integration: MailerCloud is an all-in-one email marketing platform designed to help create, automate, and optimize email campaigns with powerful segmentation, personalization, analytics, and deliverability tools.

Bit Flows is a WordPress automation plugin that helps you connect different apps and automate tasks without coding. In this workflow, Bit Form starts the automation, and MailerCloud creates the contact.

Connect MailerCloud with Bit Flows to send form submissions to your MailerCloud audience list and create new contacts without manual data entry.

Step 1: Create a New Integration

First, open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, first click the plus (+) icon to add a trigger as you wish. In this setup, Bit Form serves as the trigger and MailerCloud as the action.

Step 2: Select Bit Form as the Trigger

From the trigger app list, search for Bit Form and select it. Then choose the exact form you want to use for this automation. Make sure this is the same form your visitors will actually submit.

This is important because Bit Flows will capture data from that selected form only.

After selecting the form, capture or fetch sample form data. Bit Flows will use this sample data later when you map Bit Form fields with MailerCloud fields.

Step 3: Add MailerCloud as the Action

After setting the trigger, click the plus icon again to add an action. Search for MailerCloud from the app list and select it.

After selecting MailerCloud as an action, the next step is to choose an event. There is only one event available called “Create Contact.” So, we’ve selected it.

Step 4: Start the MailerCloud Connection

  • Click the Add Connection button to authorize the connection between Bit Flows and MailerCloud.
  • Provide a Connection Name (you can name it anything you like).
  • You also need to enter your MailerCloud API Token in the Value option.

Step 5: Get the API Token

To get this MailerCloud API Token, you need to log in to your MailerCloud Account and go to your Profile, select Integrations → API Keys → Create API Key. Then give an API Name and click the Generate button. Copy the generated API token and paste it into the Bit Flows Value option. Click Connect to establish the connection.

Step 6: Map Bit Form Fields to MailerCloud Fields

A new pop-up will appear, where you can add your MailerCloud audience list. Select your MailerCloud audience list and add any tags if needed.

Now, map the Bit Form fields to the matching MailerCloud fields so the submitted form data goes to the correct place. For example, map the Bit Form email field to MailerCloud’s Email field, and map the name field to First Name or other matching fields.

Once you’ve finished these settings, you can either click the “Test Run” button to check if the integration is working correctly or simply close the pop-up to complete the setup.

Remember, the Email field is your required field.

Step 7: Test the Full Flow with a Form Submission

After setting up the trigger and actions, you can test your flow to verify if the integration is working correctly. To do this, simply click on Test Flow Once. Then, complete the trigger event, which in this case is Bit Form Submit.

Step 8: Check the Integration Log

After the test, open the Logs section from the top right corner of the flow screen. There, you can verify whether the Trigger and Action worked successfully.

If the log status shows Success, the MailerCloud action is working correctly. Now, whenever someone submits the selected Bit Form, Bit Flows will send the mapped contact data to MailerCloud and create a new contact in your selected audience or list.

You can click Details in the log to review the submitted data, mapped fields, and MailerCloud response.
