Sendy Integration: Sendy is a self-hosted email marketing and newsletter application that sends emails through Amazon SES. It is commonly used to manage lists, add subscribers, and send campaigns.

Bit Flows is a WordPress automation plugin that lets you connect different tools and automate tasks without coding. It helps businesses build powerful workflow automation by connecting apps and automatically moving data between them.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to integrate Bit Form with Sendy, where Bit Form is the trigger and Sendy is the action. After completing the steps, a new subscriber will be added to Sendy whenever someone submits your form.

Step 1: Create a New Integration

To set Sendy as an action in Bit Flows, first open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, first click the plus (+) icon to add a trigger as you wish.

Step 2: Select Bit Form as the Trigger

From the trigger app list, search for Bit Form and select it. Then choose the exact form you want to use for this automation. Make sure this is the same form your visitors will actually submit.

After selecting the form, capture or fetch the sample form data. This sample data is important because Bit Flows will use it later when you map Bit Form fields with Sendy fields, such as name, email, or other contact details

Here is a simple guide to connect Bit Form as a trigger.

Step 3: Add Sendy as the Action App

  • After selecting your trigger, click Add Action from the available apps.
  • Search for Sendy in the app list.
  • Select Sendy as your action.

Step 4: Choose the Event

Once Sendy is selected, choose the “Add subscriber” action from the available event list. This action will automatically add a new subscriber to your Sendy list whenever the form is submitted.

  • Create Campaign
  • Add Subscriber
  • Unsubscribe
  • Delete Subscriber
  • Get Subscription Status
  • Get Active Subscriber Count

Step 5: Start the Sendy Connection

  • Click the Add Connection button to authorize the connection between Bit Flows and Sendy.
  • In the pop-up window, provide a connection name (you can name it anything you like).
  • Enter your Sendy URL and API key.

To find your Sendy API key, go to your Sendy settings, and you’ll find the key on the right side of the page.

After establishing the connection, select the Brand Name and List you created in Sendy for this integration. Make sure to choose the correct list to which new subscribers will be added.

Step 6: Map Bit Form Fields to Sendy Fields

Map the relevant fields from Bit Form to Sendy to ensure that the data is transferred correctly.

Example:

  • Bit Form NameSendy Name
  • Bit Form EmailSendy Email

This ensures the data submitted in your form is transferred accurately to Sendy.

Email is required for adding a subscriber in Sendy. Name is optional, but useful for personalization.

Then select the Test Run button or simply close the window.

Congratulations! Your Sendy Integrations as Action with Bit flows created successfully.

Step 7: Check the Flow and Integration Log

After setting up the trigger and actions, you can test your flow to verify if the integration is working correctly. To do this, simply complete the trigger event, which in this case is Bit Form Submit.

After form submission, open Bit Flows and check the Logs section. The logs will show you if your automation worked correctly.

If the log status shows Success, the Sendy action is working correctly. Now, whenever someone submits the selected Bit Form, Bit Flows will send the mapped contact data to Sendy and add the person to your selected list.

You can click Details in the Bit Flows log to review the submitted data, mapped fields, and Sendy response.
