WC Affiliate Integration with Bit Flows: Automate Your Affiliate Management

WC Affiliate is a WooCommerce affiliate plugin that helps you manage affiliate applications, referrals, commissions, and payouts from your WordPress dashboard.

Bit Flows is a no-code automation plugin for WordPress that helps you connect plugins, apps, and online tools from one visual workflow builder. You can use it to capture data from WordPress plugins and use that data inside automated workflows.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use WC Affiliate as a trigger in Bit Flows.

Once the setup is complete, a WC Affiliate event, such as an affiliate application being submitted or rejected, can start a workflow in Bit Flows.

What is WC Affiliate in Bit Flows?

In Bit Flows, WC Affiliate works as a trigger app.

A trigger is the event that starts a workflow. For example, when an affiliate application is submitted in WC Affiliate, Bit Flows can capture that affiliate data from the event.

The captured response data can then be used inside the workflow.

Requirements

Before starting, make sure you have:

• Bit Flows installed and activated.
• WC Affiliate installed and activated.
• WooCommerce installed and activated.
• WC Affiliate basic setup completed.
• At least one affiliate test record ready.

Install and prepare WC Affiliate

Open your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins > Add New. Search for WC Affiliate, find WC Affiliate – WooCommerce Affiliate Plugin, then click Install Now and Activate.

Open WC Affiliate from the WordPress dashboard menu and complete the basic setup. Go to the affiliate section you want to test, then create or prepare a test affiliate record. Make sure the event you want to test can be performed. For this guide, the example trigger is Affiliate Application Rejected, so prepare an affiliate application that can be rejected.

Set up WC Affiliate as a trigger

Step 01: Select WC Affiliate as the trigger app

Go to Bit Flows and click Create Flow. In the Trigger section, click Select an App, search for WC Affiliate, and select it from the trigger app list.

Choose the WC Affiliate trigger event you want to use. For this example, select Affiliate Application Rejected. Open the event and click Listen Response. Bit Flows will start listening for the selected WC Affiliate event. Perform the test event while the listener is active.

Step 02: Perform the test event in WC Affiliate

Open another browser tab and go to WC Affiliate > Affiliates. Find the affiliate application you want to test, then change the affiliate status based on the selected trigger event. For this example, set the affiliate application status to Rejected.

Step 03: Review the captured response

Return to the Bit Flows tab and check the response area. When the event is captured, you should see Response captured. Review the Captured Response section, confirm that the affiliate data is available, and click Close. Captured response data is the sample data Bit Flows receives from WC Affiliate. This data helps you use WC Affiliate information inside the flow.

Configure the trigger settings

The current WC Affiliate trigger setup does not require extra configuration fields before listening for the response.

Troubleshooting

Issue	What to check
WC Affiliate does not appear in the Bit Flows app list	Make sure WC Affiliate is installed and activated on the same WordPress site.
Response is not captured	Click Listen Response again and perform the WC Affiliate test event while the listener is active.
Affiliate data is missing	Use a test affiliate record with complete user and affiliate details, then capture the response again.
Wrong event is captured	Make sure the selected trigger event matches the action you performed in WC Affiliate.

You’ve now connected WC Affiliate with Bit Flows as a trigger. When the selected WC Affiliate event happens, Bit Flows can capture the response data from WC Affiliate and make it available inside the flow.
