BookingPress Integration with Bit Flows: Automated Booking Management in WordPress

BookingPress is a WordPress appointment booking plugin that helps service-based businesses manage bookings, customers, staff schedules, services, and online appointment reservations from WordPress.

Bit Flows is a no-code automation plugin for WordPress that helps you connect plugins, apps, and online tools from one visual workflow builder. 

In this guide, you’ll learn how to use BookingPress as a trigger in Bit Flows.

Once the setup is complete, a BookingPress event, such as a new appointment booking, can start a workflow in Bit Flows. From there, you can send booking data to another app, notify your team, update a spreadsheet, or route the booking through conditions.

Requirements

Before starting, make sure you have:

• Bit Flows installed and activated.
• BookingPress installed and activated
• At least one BookingPress service created
• A published BookingPress booking form
• Test customer and appointment details ready

Install and prepare BookingPress

Install BookingPress by downloading the plugin ZIP file from the BookingPress website.

Step 01: Download and install BookingPress

Open the BookingPress website, download the plugin ZIP file, and save it on your computer. Then open your WordPress dashboard and go to Plugins > Add New. Click Upload Plugin, then Choose File, and select the BookingPress ZIP file. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

Step 02: Prepare BookingPress

Open BookingPress from your WordPress dashboard and complete the basic setup.

Submit one test Service to make sure BookingPress is working.

Set up BookingPress as a trigger

Step 03: Create a flow and select BookingPress as the trigger app

Open your WordPress dashboard, go to Bit Flows, and click Create Flow. In the Trigger section, click Select an App, search for BookingPress, and select it from the trigger app list.

Choose the BookingPress trigger event you want to use, selecting the one that matches the booking activity you want to automate. Then click Listen Response. Bit Flows will start listening for the selected BookingPress event, so create the test booking while the listener is active.

Step 04: Submit a test BookingPress booking

Open your BookingPress booking form in another browser tab. Select a service, then choose a date and time. Enter the customer details and submit the booking form.

Step 05: Review the captured response

Return to the Bit Flows tab and check the response area. When the event is captured, you should see Response captured. Review the Captured Response section, confirm that the booking data is available, and click Close. Captured response data is the sample data Bit Flows receives from BookingPress. This data helps you map fields in the next workflow step.

Configure the trigger settings

The current BookingPress trigger setup does not require extra configuration fields before listening for the response.

You’ve now connected BookingPress with Bit Flows as a trigger. When the selected BookingPress event happens, Bit Flows can capture the response data from BookingPress and make it available inside the flow.
