Estimated reading: 4 minutes 336 views

ClickUp Integrations: Maximize human productivity. · Work is broken. · Let’s fix it. · Do your most important work, faster · Smart tools for smarter workflows.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to integrate Bit Form with ClickUp, where Bit Form acts as the trigger and ClickUp is the action. Once the integration is complete, a new task will be automatically created in ClickUp whenever someone submits your form.

This beginner-friendly, step-by-step tutorial is designed to help you set up your first automation with ease—making task management more efficient and organized right from your WordPress forms.

Authorization of ClickUp Integrations as Action

To set ClickUp as an action in Bit Flows, first open your Bit Flows Dashboard, then either create a new flow or open an existing one. In the Flow Builder, click the plus (+) icon to add an action. From the list of available apps, search for and select ClickUp.

After selecting your preferred action, the next step is to choose an event. For example, in this case, we’ve selected the “Create Task” event.

  • Create Task

After selecting the action event, a new popup will appear. Here, you need to connect your ClickUp account. If you’ve already connected ClickUp before and want to use the same account, simply select it from the “Select Connection” dropdown. If not, click on “Add Connection” to create a new one.

If you’ve already created a connection earlier and want to use it with the same account, simply select it from the “Select Connection” dropdown. This saves time and avoids creating duplicate connections.

When you click the Add Connection button, you’ll be prompted to enter a name for your connection and supply your API Key as the value.

To set up ClickUp integrations with Bit Flows, you’ll need ClickUp API Key. Follow these steps to get it.

  • Log in to your ClickUp account and select your workspace.
  • Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and go to Settings.
  • On the left side, scroll down and click on Apps.
  • Under “API Token,” click on “Regenerate” to create your API key.
  • Paste it into the Value field in Bit Flows to complete the connection.

Once you have successfully entered your ClickUp API Key, click “Connect” button to proceed.

Teams: Select the Team that you have already created on your ClickUp account from the drop-down menu.

Spaces: Select the Space that you have already created on your ClickUp account from the drop-down menu.

Folders: Select the Folder that you have already created on your ClickUp account from the drop-down menu.

Lists: Select the List that you have already created on your ClickUp account from the drop-down menu.

Field Mapping: Here, you’ll see a “Map Fields” section where you need to map your form fields to the matching fields in ClickUp. The “Name” field is required by ClickUp, so make sure to map your form’s Name field to it. You can also click the “Add Column” button to map additional fields. Additionally, you can enhance your request logic using FlowMathString, and System functions.

Once you’ve finished these settings, you can either click the “Test Run” button to check if the integration is working correctly or simply close the popup to complete the setup.

When you click the Test Run button, the output will be displayed just above it. However, please note that Test Run results are not recorded in the logs.

You also have the option to test the full flow. You can either click “Listen Response” and then run the trigger event (e.g., submit the form), or use existing data to test the integration and make sure everything works correctly.

After completing all the steps, click the “Logs” icon at the top-right corner of the Flow Builder to view your integration logs. Logs help you verify if the trigger and action worked correctly and make it easier to spot and fix any issues.

That’s it! You’ve successfully set up an automation in Bit Flows to connect Bit Form with ClickUp. Now, whenever someone submits your form, a new task will be automatically created in your ClickUp workspace.

This integration helps you streamline task creation, improve team productivity, and stay organized with minimal effort. For further guidance or to explore more integration possibilities, be sure to check out our detailed User Guide.
